Has the baby come yet?

The date is February 4th, 2008. Kyle, Kristine and Lea hop on the bus this morning all excited because their new baby brother or sister will be born today. The bus driver is a friend of the family. As the three clamber up the steps the bus driver asks, "has the baby come yet?" "No, but today it will be born! " they all chime. The following morning, the scene repeats itself. Except this time the bus driver asks the first one on, " well, what do you have?" The child answers, " a girl." The driver thinks, "a girl...I'll just double check that's correct, by asking the next child." "Well," she says to the second child, " you have a baby sister!" "What!" says the second one, "we have a baby brother!" And the third child comments that the first one doesn't know what their talking about, it is a boy! Okay, thinks the driver, two to one it must be a boy. She addresses all three children, "so what is his name?" Nobody could remember. Day three arrives. Today, thinks the driver, they had to have remembered the name. So, she asks the first one on, "what is his name?" The child answers, "Judas." JUDAS!!!! thinks the bus driver, surely they wouldn't do a thing like that to their child! I've got to check this out with the other two children. "Ummmm....kids, so WHAT is your brothers name?" They were disgusted that the first one got it so screwed up. "His name is Jared. He doesn't know anything!" they comment about their sibling. "Whew!" thinks the bus driver.

There was a dog who swallowed a present

I about strangled the dog....Here is what happened. (in a nutshell...) This lovely gift arrived via the postman. It wasn't able to fit into our mailbox, therefore the mailman toodled up the drive and dropped on the the step. He didn't ring the doorbell, just dropped it on the step. Nevermind we have this curious puppy of a dog, Eddie, who'll thoroughly check out anything left on the ground or close to it. He got to my package before I did. He spread it from the front step down the entire drive! Stupid dog! When I found it...I couldn't tell what it was. I picked up a piece here and there and wondered what on earth it could have been and whom it was from. One piece said Huhta siblings...another was a partial cover to the book...then the book....then my blood pressure went wacky. The last item found was a card congratulating Brent and I on our newest little one, from my brother Keith and his wife. Throughout the afternoon, I'd see more pieces in the yard. I think I found everything. Did I Kim? Another story for the baby book!
